POOJA’S EARLY READING

Our Philosophy:

All kids can be taught to read and comprehend and realise their full potential. 

Is your child happier to run around than sit down with a book?

I have been through similar emotions.

The early stages of “learning to read” can be a difficult and a frustrating time for both you and your child.

“Pooja’s Early Reading Room “is here to take over and create Happy and Confident Readers.

Pooja’s Journey:

 Challenge: I faced a challenge when I was given an ultimatum from the school- that my son would be retained in the same class, if his reading did not improve and was given a 3-month window to improve.

Methodology: I went through various techniques and taught my son and overcame that challenge, as my Son’s reading improved by leaps and bounds in the stipulated time.

As there was a time constraint, I measured the time I taught him and realised that with discipline, proper methodology and consistency, young readers could become ready to read in 3 months.

In order to be more formal and to ensure that this course is officially recognized, me and my team are also certified  “Jolly Phonics professional trainers” .

I have also enhanced my skills by completing a course “Special needs Education”from the International Open Academy.

 My Vision:  Help Children to become Confident Readers and ensure Peace of mind to parents.

That was when my journey with reading began.

 I was so thrilled with my success, that I felt it should benefit more parents. Successfully pilot tested this reading program with many other young readers before offering it as a full-fledged program.

Action:

Armed  with my purpose to help more kids to succeed in reading and my ability to have made this experience into a teachable  and  trackable program, I am very happy  to present “Pooja’s Early Reading Room”

The faculty adapts the course to the needs and learning style of each child and the kids respond and are on their way to becoming independent readers at the earliest.

What makes this program different?

Evoke the toddlers interest in the pictures and book and introduce him to the world of words.

Customised according to the favoured learning technique of each child  Visual, Verbal, Aural (auditory -musical), kinaesthetic.

  • FUN WITH PUNCTUATIONS

Child is made aware of the punctuations by auditory means.

LIBRARY VISITS (during SECOND LEVEL) AND IN HOUSE LIBRARY

We believe Reading is a Lifelong habit. Hence designed two happy visits to the LIBRARY as part of this curriculum in the second level. We are also proud of our IN-HOUSE LIBRARY. Kids take a book home and choose from the Ladybird Series, Funny Photo Phonics or Dr. Seuss books. The fun and excitement of the crazy stories and the repetitive sounds with limited vocabulary in a book, helps kids to master their phonics.
